We assess contexts and baselines, design strategies and frameworks, develop policies, programmes and projects and unlock finance for public and private sector clients across the world.
Are you an excellent writer with a nuanced understanding of climate change and sustainable development? Are you able to synthesise complex concepts for broad audiences?
Storytelling is a key aspect of our work at E Co. and climate action as a whole. Right now, our small but mighty Marketing & Communications team are on the lookout for an excellent, thoughtful and versatile writer who can lead the editorial aspects of our various campaigns and initiatives. From raising our profile as a globally leading climate finance and sustainable development consultancy to supporting our clients in various communications aspects of assignments, no two days are the same. We are looking for someone who is deeply passionate about bringing subject matter to life through amplifying the voices of our team, our stakeholders and our clients.
We invite individuals who know and understand the climate and sustainable development sector, have editorial experience and would love to work with us to produce carefully tailored media to deliver real impact. Could this be you or someone you know?
This is a full-time position, based in London or a similar timezone.
Duties
- Serving as the editorial lead for various multimedia brand campaigns
- Produces our special reports such as GCF insight, our monthly community newsletter Latest thinking, manages our website, supports Consulting team with webinar presentations, topical blogs, sales tools
- Works with our visual designer to bring content to life
- Posts thoughtful updates on social media (including LinkedIn, X and Instagram)
- Owns email marketing, including monthly newsletters and tailored campaign emails
- Manages administration of marketing databases
- Works with reporting tools to measure audience interest and engagement
- Responsible for developing and updating annual content and campaign calendar

Essential requirements
- Undergraduate degree and an excellent educational record
- Experience within an international Marketing & Communications team
- A varied portfolio of writing samples
- Fluency in English with excellent oral and written communication skills
- Passionate and convinced about the impact potential of Marketing & Communications towards a world sustainably transformed
- Demonstrable interest in the climate and sustainable development sector and familiar with the current debates and market trends
- Excellent interpersonal skills - empathetic and open with a keen desire to learn and improve
- Strong team player who enjoys working quickly and collaboratively to achieve a common goal
- Fast learner, with the ability to grasp concepts and ideas quickly
- Effective time management skills and demonstrated ability to meet challenging deadlines while delivering work to a high standard
- Strong research skills, with the ability to analyse and synthesise findings
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to deliver meticulous proofs
- Knowledge and experience with Marketing & Communications channels - social media, content management systems, CRMs
Would be an advantage
- A degree in International development, Environmental studies, Climate policy, Journalism, Publishing or similar
- Experience in the design and development of surveys and the interpretation and analysis of data
- Fluency in another language and experience working with different cultures
